Perfect Day Community Guidelines
Perfect Day is for planning real days out with real people. These are the rules. They apply to everything you post and to how you treat other people, on Perfect Day and, where it affects other users, off it.
Breaking these rules can mean your content is removed, your account is limited, or you are removed from Perfect Day. Serious violations get you removed the first time.
Be a real person
Use your own identity. Do not impersonate anyone else, do not pretend to work for a venue you do not work for, and do not run an account on someone else’s behalf without their permission.
Post things you actually experienced
- Photos should be yours, taken by you.
- Recommendations should be honest and your own.
- Do not post reviews or recommendations you were paid or incentivized to post, and do not post about a place you have a financial interest in without saying so.
- Do not use Perfect Day to advertise, promote, or run a business without our written permission.
Do not post
- anything unlawful, or that encourages breaking the law;
- content that harasses, bullies, threatens, or intimidates anyone;
- hate speech, or attacks on people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sexual orientation, sex, gender identity, disability, or serious disease;
- sexually explicit content, or any sexual content involving minors, ever;
- graphic violence, or content that glorifies violence or self-harm;
- content that promotes dangerous or illegal activity, including illegal drugs, weapons, and driving while impaired;
- anyone’s private information: home address, phone number, financial or government identifiers, or private messages;
- photographs of people who have not agreed to appear, especially in a way that could embarrass or endanger them;
- content you do not have the rights to, including other people’s photos; or
- spam, scams, phishing, malware, or bulk unsolicited messages.
Treat other people well
- Do not harass anyone, on Perfect Day or after meeting through it.
- Do not send unwanted sexual messages or images.
- If someone blocks you, leave them alone. Do not make a new account to reach them.
- Do not organize or encourage harassment of any person or venue.
Going out
Perfect Day is for planning days with people you know. A plan can still reach people you do not: invite links can be forwarded, profiles are public, and anyone can join a conversation on a posted Day. So:
- You are never obliged to go anywhere, stay anywhere, or do anything because it is on the plan.
- If someone in a plan makes you feel unsafe, leave the plan, block them, and report it. If you are in danger, contact local emergency services first.
- If you are meeting someone for the first time through Perfect Day, treat it the way you would any first meeting: somewhere public, someone you trust knows where you are.
We do not run criminal background checks or verify anyone’s identity. Read Section 12 of our Terms.
Be fair to venues
Real people work at the places you post about. Criticize the experience, not the staff as individuals. Do not post false factual claims about a business, do not post about incidents you did not witness, and do not use Perfect Day to run a campaign against a place.
Reporting and enforcement
Report content or a person from inside the app. Reports go to a queue a human reviews.
Depending on what we find we may: leave it up, remove the content, warn the account, limit what it can do, suspend it, or remove the person from Perfect Day permanently. Content involving imminent danger to a person, or any sexual content involving a minor, is escalated immediately, and we report child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children as the law requires.
You can block anyone at any time. Blocking hides you from them and them from you.
If you think we got it wrong, email support@perfectday.social. A person will look at it and tell you the outcome.
