Perfect Day Accessibility Statement

Perfect Day Social Inc wants everyone to be able to plan and enjoy a day out. This statement covers the Perfect Day app for iPhone and the website at perfectday.social.

What we are working toward

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as our target for the website, and Apple’s accessibility guidelines for the app. We are a small team and the product is early, so we are not there yet. Below is what works today and what we know does not.

The app

Works today

• VoiceOver labels on the main navigation, the Discover deck, plan rooms, and most buttons.
• Text set in the app’s typeface scales with your Dynamic Type setting.
• Large-text layouts on the live plan, the people sheet, notes and the photo chooser.

Known gaps

• Some icon-only buttons are not yet labeled for VoiceOver.
• A few screens use fixed text sizes, and the day recap screen does not scale beyond the default size.
• Animations do not yet respect the Reduce Motion setting.
• Some secondary text is drawn at low contrast.
• The app is light mode only.

The website

Works today

• Every page can be navigated from a keyboard, dialogs trap focus and close with Escape, and navigation regions are labeled.
• Images that carry meaning have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
• Fonts are served by us, not a third party.

Known gaps

• There is no skip-to-content link yet.
• Focus is hard to see on form fields.
• Some small and secondary text does not meet the AA contrast ratio.
• Only some animation respects the Reduce Motion setting.
